Grotto Park

The Grotto Park project is the most recent major project of our Rotary Club and work is not completed as we are committed to the maintenance and upkeep of this beautiful park.  We have recently launched Phase II of this project which includes over $80,000 in accessibility and erosion control improvements. This will take place over the next three years.

Playground at York Creek Apartments

We have also recently teamed up with KaBOOM! and Amway and in cooperation with York Creek Apartments in Alpine Township, we will be installing a playground there on Friday, August 27, 2010.  Although Amway is the major financial contributor, and Amway employees will make up most of the work force, The Comstock Park Rotary Club still has to raise about $8,000 in community funds, and is looking for 100 community volunteers to help on Construction Day.

Centennial Service Project

Comstock Park Rotary registered the Wahlfield Park playground project as a Centennial Service Project in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Rotary International.  Installation took place in the Spring of 2005.  One hundred thousand dollars was contributed by the local community, businesses and individuals to match the $50,000 contribution from Kent County Parks. These contributions were greatly appreciated.
